We don't have pictures of the interior of the building yet and in the mean time, we would love to give some more details about the building and how it is going to be used.
Pictures to be posted soon... Please keep checking back!!!
Arnie's Room
The interior of Bob's House, and it's actual mission, are centered around "Arnie's Room." This is a 15' x 32' room named in honor of John Arnette. John has donated his expertise and countless hours to the project. He has selflessly put aside his very busy schedule to help us when we have needed it the most. We will forever be grateful to him.
"Arnie's Room" will be where the dogs spend the most of their time. It will be very comfortable for both the dogs and staff. It is going to be geared in a way that maximizes interaction with people and other dogs. It has two access doors (both with glass windows), one leading to the hallway, the other towards the back of the building.
Remaining Interior
Off the main hallway are an office, a bathroom and mechanical room.
At the very rear of the building is a open area which will contain a sink, washer, dryer, and full scale wash and grooming station.
Behind "Arnie's room" is a 15' x 14' wide open area which will be used for a number of things, to include: A "meet and greet" area away from the other dogs, room for at least three 4' x 8' kennels, and other storage needs.
The dogs will be exercised in one of two areas. The primary location is a 7' chain link fence which encloses just shy of one full acre. This will be accessed by a narrow, fenced on both sides, dog run which connects the rear of Bob's House to the existing rear gate.
The other is a fully fenced in 1/2 acre area located on the other side of Bob's House. Staff will have to walk dogs only a short distance to use this area.
Bob's House will be fully handicapped accessible both inside and outside.
